Welcome to the House of Sky

Hello my name is SkyScraperGirl Cabaret.

House of Sky is about my new clothing store in the Asunder Sim located in Second Life. I will also be blogging about my various adventures in Second Life, as well as many tips and tricks I have learned in the three years I have been a member of the social network Second Life.

Feel free to visit the House of Sky Boutique, right now its pretty new but I have a number of products for sale there. I sell a lot of bracelets at the House of Sky Boutique. The bracelets give all of your shoes a menu controlled sexy walk and three heel sounds. The bracelet works with all Second Life shoes, be they new shoes or old ones. Got a pair of older Second Life shoes that need sounds? My bracelets are perfect for that. The bracelets also give you additional powers to fly higher than the legal limits of Second Life. Which means if you wear one of my bracelets, you can fly as high as you want to. I have actually flown as high as 10,000 meters wearing one of my bracelets. This can be a use full tool in certain situations.

I live with a number of residents in Asunder, a beautiful, snowy, victorian steam punk themed sim. Several citizens of Asunder are also friends and co workers in my real life. Yes, real life!

We are all very dedicated to making Asunder a place of artistic creation, expressive beauty, fun and blissful socializing. The Asunder community is very much opposed to the ugly suburban "sprawl" that can be quite common around Second Life. Asunder citizens strive for something more. And although Asunder isn't perfect, it does come close, its a great place to visit, explore and relax.

Feel free to take the tour:

There are many places to see in Asunder. I created The Asunder Nature Conservation as a quiet place to relax on park benches, enjoy the views, and generally appreciate nature.

Open your mini map window and use it to navigate. If you follow the walkway heading south, you will come to the location of Asunder Theater.

Asunder Theater is a performance space for music and the illusionary magic shows of Asunder resident Ulysses Cabaret. Uber designer and builder Ulysses has been the main creative driving force of the Asunder Sim, and is largely the reason Asunder is such a beautiful place to visit. Most of the Asunder sim was designed, and built by Ulysses Cabaret. He has been a powerhouse and an inspiration to all of us. Thanks Ulysses!

Feel free to walk into the Asunder Theater and explore it's inner confines, its a wonderfully designed and textured space!

From the entrance of Asunder Theater, follow the walkway south past the gargoyle statues and descend the stairs. Immediately to your left will be Ulysses Cabaret's Store, Le Boheme.

Located in an old church it is full of the creations Ully builds. Ulysses specializes in beautiful, elaborate, victorian themed homes, as well as very stylish victorian and gothic themed furniture and other household items. It is well worth a look see!

Neatly tucked behind Le Boheme is a small graveyard crypt that has been converted into a small satellite store for Wretched Dollies one of my favorite clothing stores in all of Second Life.

From the front door of Wretched Dollies walk directly west back down the path, along the graveyard.

Continue west past the town center, towards the Nephilim Angel sculpture at the end of the western walkway.

Directly to your left you will see two staircases that lead up to The Asunder Arts Museum.

The view of the valley from the balcony is fabulous.

The Asunder Arts Museum features the work of Real Life New York City alternative fashion photographer and Asunder resident, Surfinbird Cabaret. His work is artistic and erotic and quite iconic.

Located in the basement of The Asunder Arts Museum is The Asunder Arts Shop, a store where Surfinbird Cabaret will be selling many of the creations he makes in Second Life. It is new and emerging, and I must admit I don't know what Surfy has in his plans.....

Walk back out through the museum and out to the front entrance. If you look down into the valley by the river you will see a small blue store owned by Tekelili Tantalus. He creates fantastic fantasy based clothing and jewelry. Beautiful works!

There are many more places to explore in Asunder, I have given you some of the basic locations, I hope you have fun !
